HELINET logoThomas Norton, an adviser at EagleEye Intelligence, will join Helinet Aviation Services‘ board of directors to provide executive leadership and board governance.

Helinet said Wednesday Norton will bring experience under various federal government roles including as director of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection‘s National Marine Center.

“[Tom] adds depth to the board with his aviation and military background and vast knowledge of federal security and surveillance solutions,” said Kathryn Purwin, Helinet CEO.

Norton has recorded more than 8,000 tactical flight hours on military operations and helped develop standard operating procedures for aviation security, noted Helinet.

He also entered the U.S. Army Initial Entry Rotary Wing Aviator course and completed the U-60 Blackhawk helicopter qualification course prior to his stint with the Army comprehensive advanced helicopter interdiction tactics program that deployed missions to support the State Department.

Helinet added that Jim Adams of Reach Air Medical Services and Arnold Kleiner of KABC-TV will also join the board of directors to form a four-member advisory board with at least eight decades of combined operational experience.
