Elbit Systems has received multiple contracts worth approximately $30 million combined from a European country to deliver thermal-imaging observation systems over a one-year period.
The company said Wednesday it will provide Long View CR, LOROSS and XACT observation systems to support all of the customers’s army command levels.
LVCR is a long-range observation system for dismounted soldiers with day and night target acquisition functions, while LOROSS is a fixed-installation long-range observation system.
“Observation systems are a vital component of the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance field,” said Elad Aharonson, general manager of Elbit Systems’ ISTAR division.
He added that the systems are designed to operate in daytime and nighttime environments regardless of weather conditions.
