Aerospace Corporation has appointed Edward Bolton, a retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. and previous senior vice president of Aerospace Special Studies. to succeed Rand Fisher as systems planning, engineering and quality senior vice president.
Bolton has been with the Air Force for 37 years and held a number of positions within the department, including deputy assistant secretary for budget in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Management and Comptroller, commander of the 45th Space Wing and director of the Eastern range at Patrick Air Force base, Aerospace said Tuesday.
He retired from the Air Force in 2013 and joined the Federal Aviation Administration as assistant administrator for NextGen where he helped to modernize the National Airspace System.
Bolton is a certified Level III program manager after he completed executive program management and systems acquisition courses at the Defense Systems Management College.
