Ball Aerospace and Technologies plans to open a new office in Columbia, Maryland this summer as part of expansion initiatives after the company completed its acquisition of specialized engineering cyber services provider Wavefront Technologies.
The company said Tuesday it seeks candidates from various fields such as systems engineering, software development, cybersecurity, intelligence analysis and computer science to join the Maryland office.
Ball Aerospace bought Wavefront Technologies in February in a push to diversify the former’s business portfolio and strengthen its footprint in the Washington metropolitan area.
“Wavefront is a terrific addition to the Ball family… and our new offices will provide the flexibility we need for future growth,” said Debra Facktor Lepore, vice president and general manager of Ball’s strategic operations unit.
