Baldwin Aviation will facilitate client information exchange through a Federal Aviation Administration-run flight safety data sharing system under an agreement with Mitre and FAA.
The South Carolina-based software company said Monday the executive board of FAA’s Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing program approved a protocol that allows Baldwin Aviation customers to share relevant data through the company.
“Based on Baldwin’s Master MOU, our clients will execute a simple one page agreement with Baldwin that will allow access to ASIAS as well as receive output through Baldwin,” said Baldwin Aviation CEO Don Baldwin.
He added the company developed a single informational port for the ASIAS system in an effort to help simplify the process for data collection and management.
The system is designed to connect approximately 185 government and industry information sources to monitor and mitigate risks in a collaborative manner.
