BAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary has received a potential $12.9 million task order modification to provide operations and maintenance support to the U.S. Navy ‘s communication, electronic and computer systems.
The Defense Department said Thursday the modification exercises a one-year option on a previously awarded contract to BAE Systems Inc. and will increase cumulative task order value to $34 million.
DoD noted the order has seven base months and two 12-month option periods.
BAE Systems Inc.’s technology solutions and services business will perform work in Oahu, Hawaii and Geraldton, Australia through June 2018 if all options are exercised.
The Naval Supply Systems Command’s fleet logistics center obligated $3.4 million at the time of the award from fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds of the service branch.
The order was awarded through a competitive procurement process via the General Services Administration’s eBUY portal with two bids received.
