Ama Romaine, formerly a vice president and senior counsel at Hilton Worldwide, has been appointed general counsel and supervisor of the office of counsel atÂ Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
Throughout her career, sheÂ has provided legal advisory services inÂ theÂ hospitality, financial services, energy and project finance industries, JHUAPLÂ said Friday.

SheÂ most recently oversawÂ legal functions ofÂ Hilton’s brands, commercial services and corporate communications organizations as well as supervisedÂ a team that works onÂ commercial agreements, consumer protection regulatory mattersÂ and intellectual property portfolio for the hospitality firm.
RomaineÂ isÂ a member of the Tahirih Justice Institute’sÂ the D.C. advisory council and previously served on the boards atÂ the Womenâ€™s Bar Association of the District of Columbia and the Womenâ€™s Bar Association Foundation.
