The U.S. Air Force has released a sources sought noticeÂ to gatherÂ information from potential vendorsÂ that can offerÂ technical support, system analysis, design, development, operations and maintenanceÂ services for the military branch’sÂ Acquisition App Store program.
AÂ FedBizOpps notice posted WednesdayÂ stated theÂ AAS program aims to provide a service-oriented architecture platform for the contractingÂ community toÂ build, discover and execute acquisition processes and applications.
Interested partiesÂ can submit their ideas to the Air ForceÂ through Aug. 19.
The Air Force seeks to modernize its legacy System Metric and Reporting Tool and consolidate information technology systems and services into a catalog of offerings the service branch expectsÂ toÂ mature as more systems transition into the AAS platform.
The service branchÂ noted it aimsÂ to launch a competition for AAS program support servicesÂ by Aug. 29, 2017 and subsequently awardÂ a potential seven-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to a single vendor.
