Vencore has partnered with George Mason University’s school of business to create a deployable cyber risk assessment tool and methodology for federal agencies.
Vencore said Wednesday the team will work on a data valuation architecture design and develop models based on the design to calculate the potential financial impact in case of a data breach.
“It is currently difficult to measure the amount of damage that cyber terrorism causes,” said Mac Curtis, Vencore president and CEO.
He added that the project works to guide investment decisions on attack prevention and prevention technologies.
Vencore also said it will develop the project’s interface while George Mason University will handle research and development of projected models, algorithms, references and standards in order to quantify the impact of cyber intrusions.
