The State Department is requesting information on project management services providers that can help the agency deploy an ambulatory electronic medical records system for the healthcare units of U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide.
A FedBizOpps notice published Wednesday states that the department’s Office of Medical Services seeks support on EHR project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, training, implementation and go-live and close-out activities.
MED oversees a global network of care providers to more than 60,000 foreign service and U.S. government employees and their family members.
The State Department wants interested vendors to include in their responses to the RFI a description of approaches they would use to implement an ambulatory EHR system across MED’s global enterprise environment and to train globally dispersed end-users of such technology.
