Qualys Inc. has received Federal Risk and Authorized Management Program compliance certification for the company’s cloud platform following a security review by a third-party assessor.
The certification, which Qualys earned through the Cloud Service Provider Supplied Package process, serves as a go-signal for federal civilian, military and intelligence agencies to leverage security and compliance cloud services from the company, Qualys said Thursday.
Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO of Qualys, said the company aims to help customer agencies comply with the government’s Cloud First initiative.
The company designed its cloud platform for users to monitor their networks and endpoints as well as manage their information technology assets.
Qualys’ FedRAMP compliance designation will allow system integrators and cloud providers to incorporate the firm’s technology into other certified infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service platforms.
The company noted it will also undergo additional assessments by third-party assessment organizations as it aims to achieve an authority to operate certification under the federal cloud computing program.
