The U.S. Navy has awarded Toyon Research Corp. a potential five-year, $22.8 million contract to provide to produce AN/ALQ-231 Intrepid  Tiger II pod system hardware.
Toyon will also provide AN/ALQ-231 incidental engineering and modification services for electronic warfare and attack communications jamming airborne and ground-based systems and laboratories, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division obligated $25,000 from defense-wide fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will occur in Goleta and Point Mugu, California and is scheduled to be completed in June 2021.
