Mitre has expanded its partnership with Allied Minds to provide the latter company exclusive access to some of the nonprofit’s patented inventions and related technical information.
The new agreement allows the Allied Minds Federal Innovations organization to review Mitre’s intellectual property portfolio and to potentially license technology into companies established by AMFI, Allied Minds said Tuesday.
AMFI-formed companies will be given capital, central management and startup services to help them facilitate commercial adoption of Mitre technologies, Allied Minds noted.
“We look forward to working more closely with MITRE to create new companies based on MITRE technologies that we believe will be important contributions to the commercial marketplace,” said Allied Minds CEO Chris Silva.
Allied Minds established its Percipient Networks business organization as a result of a technology transfer partnership the company formed with Mitre in March 2014.
