Mike Raymond, a 37-year government information technology market veteran and former senior vice president at Dynanet Corp., has joined Octo Consulting Group as chief strategy officer of the Tysons Corner, Virginia-based digital services provider.

He will oversee Octo Consulting’s business development and growth strategies in his new position and will report directly to CEO and founder Mehul Sanghani, the company said Monday.

“Mike’s unparalleled business development track record and experience, combined with his ability to capitalize on our core competencies in system modernization and digital services, make him the ideal addition to our leadership team,” said Sanghani.

Raymond most recently led Dynanet’s BD and capture functions and previously served as executive VP and chief strategy officer at Acentia after the technology and management services contractor bought 2020 Company in 2012 and before Acentia was acquired by Maximus in 2015.

He held the role of chief strategy officer during his time with 2020 Company.

He also spent 28 years at Computer Sciences Corp., where he led the company’s federal healthcare business as VP of that unit as well as managed CSC’s work with federal agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
