A Middle East nation has placed a $15 million order to Harris Corporation to deliver management systems, training and field support service and tactical radio products as part of the nation’s modernization efforts.
The company said Friday that it will deliver Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System radios, as well as SpearNet tactical radios.
Chris Young, Harris communication systems president, said that the radios will help provide the ground segment of the nation’s aviation force with communication services.
The SINCGARS radios work to supply at least 30 countries with voice communication for its ground forces while the Spearnet radios are designed to deliver on and out of the battlefield voice and data networking.
