Forecast International Predicts Electronic Attack Programs Market Value at $5.1B by 2025

Forecast International has predicted that $5.1 billion will be contributed to the electronic attack systems markets from 2016 to 2025 with 14,610 major electronic attack program units worth $2.8 billion produced between 2016 to 2020 and another 13,094 units worth $2.3 billion by 2025.

The EA category includes any electronic system designed to conduct offensive functions, such as communication jammers, electronic countermeasure systems and radar, Forecast International said Monday.

The firm added that notable programs within the category includes U.S. Navy‘s in-development Next Generation Jammer, which will be outfitted on the EA-18G Growlers aircraft and replace its ALQ-99 tactical jamming system pods, and the self-protection AAQ-24 Directed Infrared Countermeasure system for military aircraft.

“The NGJ program is a major priority for the Pentagon, and high levels of funding are assured through the next several years,” said Andrew Dardinem, Forecast International senior analyst.

He stated that more than $3 billion will be funded to the project based on FY16 defense budget projection.

Projected top EA contractors include Raytheon, Harris, Northrop Grumman and Thales.
