The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency has awarded CACI International a three-year, $40 million contract to help manage two platforms the Defense Department uses to eliminate paper from the receipt, acceptance, invoice and payment steps in contracting lifecycles. and systems.
DoD’s Wide Area Workflow e-Business Suite is designed to process contracting documents via web-based applications and the Electronic Document Access system stores the Pentagon’s procurement instruments and related items, CACI said Tuesday.
John Mengucci, CACI chief operating officer and U.S. operations president, said Wide Area Workflow processes 636,000 electronic documents per month on average.
Ken Asbury, CACI president and CEO, added that the company will utilize its experience in acquisition management and build on partnerships with DLA and the Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy office to support DoD’s acquisition efforts.
This new WAWF-EDA services award combines services for both systems under one contract.
