A Cubic business segment has demonstrated new training features on an F-18 fighter jet for Canada’s air force at the annual Maple Resolve air-ground training exercise.
The company said Wednesday Cubic Global Defense has integrated its Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation with the Canadian Weapon Effect Simulation system on the F-18 aircraft that conducted simulated attacks and processed real-time kill notification weapon effects.
Joint Terminal Attack Controllers and Canadian air force pilots also recorded live-tracking operations of more than 6,500 air and ground units that participated in the close air support coordination and combined arms training events for comprehensive debriefs.
“We are delighted to have participated in Maple Resolve with the Canadian forces to deliver and validate a fully integrated air and ground training environment that provides real and measurable feedback to increase training proficiency and readiness,” Mike Knowles, a vice president and general manager for Cubic Global Defense.
