Jim Batina has been appointed by the Chemring Group as business development vice president for its Chemring Ordnance subsidiary and will handle the business development efforts of that unit and Chemring Military Products.
Batina started at COR in 2012 under its business development group and has since worked in the areas of defense business capture, manufacturing and research and development, COR said Monday.
He has provided technical support on ammunition, fuzing, warheads, ordnance devices, missile systems, solid rocket motors and space launch vehicles to various clients.
His experience covers project planning, contracting, market analysis, business case analysis and risk analysis.
Batina has also worked at Alliant Techsystems and Orbital Sciences Corporation, now jointly known as Orbital ATK, and was part of missile and space programs on the Patriot, THAAD, Minotaur and Pegasus.
