Carahsoft Technology and Samsung Electronics America have signed a distribution agreement to offer a Samsung-made mobile security software to government agencies through Carahsoft’s contracts with the General Services Administration and NASA.
Carahsoft said Wednesday it will distribute the Knox platform to the public sector via GSA’s Information Technology Schedule 70 and NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement.
“As the government continues to embrace enterprise mobility, ensuring platform security is a must,” said Terry Drinkwine, a Carahsoft vice president and lead of its Samsung Knox Solutions team.
The Knox suite is designed to help organizations secure mobile hardware and software and features container and cloud-based enterprise mobility management tools.
Carahsoft will also support Samsung’s efforts to market the platform in the government and education sectors as part their agreement.
