Siemens‘ federal subsidiary Siemens Government Technologies seeks to help the Naval Facilities Engineering Command design, install and repair fire protection systems at various U.S. Navy installations under a $49 million contract the service branch awarded in May.
SGT said Wednesday it is eligible to bid on task orders to deliver fire suppression systems, water supplies, low and high expansion foams, gaseous special hazardous protection and fire alarm systems to NAVFAC.
“SGT is proud to have been given the opportunity by the U.S. Navy to leverage Siemens’ considerable fire alarm and mass notification expertise,” noted Barbara Humpton, SGT president and CEO.
Six companies in total won positions on the five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide a range of construction and renovation services at facilities within NAVFAC’s southeast area of responsibility and outside the continental U.S.
