Kilgore Flares Co. has received a one-year, $24.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to produce infrared countermeasure flares for UAE and Qatar under a foreign military sales program.
The Defense Department said Monday that Kilgore is scheduled to complete work by June 30, 2017, at a company facility in Toone, Tennessee.
The Army obligated the full amount of the modification from its fiscal 2014, 2015 and 2016 procurement funds at the time of the award.
Kilgore Flares, which operates within the countermeasures business group of Chemring North America, manufactures expendable IR decoy flares and other countermeasure systems.
