Sunera has been accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation to serve as a third-party assessment organization under the federal government’s cloud computing program.
The company said Tuesday cloud service providers that aim to obtain Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program certification can now employ the help of Sunera’s subject matter experts and RMS compliance platform.
“With so much overlap among security controls, the ability to align testing requirements across compliance areas adds tremendous value for cloud providers, federal agencies and partners,” said Sunera CEO Yong-Gon Chon.
Sunera’s compliance platform is designed to automate and streamline security authorization, certification or accreditation processes.
The company noted it also seeks to offer FedRAMP customers a centralized portal to manage compliance documents and artifacts with its platform.
