A Textron subsidiary will produce and supply electronic combat systems testers and related retrofit kits to the U.S. Air Force under two delivery orders worth approximately $11.5 million.
The separate orders that Textron Systems received for 15 units of AN/USM-670A Joint Service Electronic Combat Systems Testers and 95 AN/USM-670A retrofit components are part of a four-year, $43.6 million contract with the service branch, Textron said Thursday.
Textron Systems received the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the military branch in October 2014.
The company performs manufacturing work in Hunt Valley, Maryland, and is scheduled to complete work on the IDIQ contract by the end of September 2018.
Textron said the JSECST retrofit kit aims to add 20 years to a tester’s service life and works to provide additional functions to evaluate aircraft systems.
