Summit Consulting has been awarded a potential five-year contract to examine federal credit subsidy models for the U.S. Small Business Administration in order to help verify the models’ compliance with accounting and industry standards.
The company will evaluate SBA model methodology, operations, input and output and documentations against the Federal Credit Reform Act regulations, Summit said Monday.
“It is a distinct honor to work alongside their team to improve model governance and promote internal controls,†said Frieda Chung, Summit’s manager of federal credit modeling and forecasting.
Summit has supported SBA over the past six years.
The agency helps small businesses through its loan guarantee, contracting and counseling and assistance programs.
