Praxis Engineering Technologies has won a $12.6 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to develop a multi-model analog sensing platform for a cybersecurity technology development program run by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
The Defense Department said Thursday Praxis will help the service branch identify features to compute from signals that a device emits during training and testing as well as methods to extract sub-bands of interest, de-noise individual signals and remove interfering transmission from other devices in the area.
Praxis’ work under the contract will support DARPA’s Leveraging the Analog Domain for Security program that aims to separate security monitoring systems from protected devices through analog methods.
The company will perform work in Annapolis Junction, Maryland through July 15, 2020.
The Air Force Research Laboratory received 45 proposals for the program and obligated $3.6 million at the time of the award from fiscal 2015 and 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
