The NATO Communications and Information Agency launched the 2016 Innovation Challenge in April for small businesses and academia from all 28 NATO member nations.
Participants were required to submit proposals in the areas of cyber defense, Internet of Things, military application of blockchains and cognitive computing or machine learning by May 10, NCI Agency said April 25.
The challenge aims to drive innovation to support NATO’s cyber and C4ISR needs, the agency added.
NCI Agency said the top-ranked candidates will receive an opportunity to exhibit their proposed technologies at the 2016 NCI Agency Industry Conference and AFCEA TechNet International event in June and will be featured in the agency’s Small Business Success Stories.
Business executives engaged in the NATO Industry Cyber Partnership will assist NCI Agency leaders in the proposal selection process and notify the top-ranked innovators on May 20.
