Hampton, Virginia-based small business Science and Technology Corp. has secured a potential five-year, $39.3 million contract from NASAÂ for services under the Aeronautics and Exploration Mission Modeling and Simulation contract.
The company will provide services to aid the space agency’s Ames Research Center along with research and development support to two advanced supercomputing division branches, the systems analysis office, the aeromechanics office and the Army aviation development directorate, NASA said Tuesday.
STC will look to meet NASA modeling, simulation and systems analysis requirements for aeronautics, exploration, space operations and science missions as well as develop and apply technologies for aerospace vehicles and systems design and analysis.
It will also work to perform simulations for NASA and Army engineering applications and pursue updates in numerical methodologies, physical models, algorithms and application code development, the space agency added.
NASAÂ issued a FedBizOpps presolicitation notice on the AEMMS program in 2014.
Ames Research Center conducts several R&D projects and aids the space agency’s projects for the International Space Station, aeronautics, human exploration, commercial space, technology and education.
