Motorola Solutions has introduced a public safety technology built to incorporate the features of a body-worn video camera, a radio speaker and a microphone.
The Smart Interface Si500 Video Speaker Microphone is designed to operate with a cloud-based digital evidence management platform and terrestrial trunked radio equipment, Motorola said Thursday.
The compact WiFi-ready device is equipped with a full-screen tempered-glass display, 210-degree range-of-motion camera lens and an adaptive audio engine.
Motorola offers the VSM along with the CommandCentral Vault software designed to help law enforcement officers collect, store, manage and share electronic data.
The cloud-based storage and management software also works to automatically blur out faces, addresses or license plates in videos, the company noted.
