Mark Testoni, president and CEO of SAP National Security Services, told IT Business Edge in an interview published Tuesday SAP NS2’s sales team is focused on software products and services intended to support national security and classified programs in the U.S. government sector.
He told IT Business Edge’s Don Tennant the German software conglomerate left the unclassified accounts and other routine sales functions within the company’s public services organization upon establishment of the NS2 business in 2011.
“When SAP acquired Sybase in 2010, we had to create a more formal structure in the form of a ‘proxy company,’ which is what we are,” noted Testoni.
He came to SAP in 2006 to lead its public services organization after he previously held a nine-year career at Oracle and served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years.
