James Kessler, vice president of the materiel management division at LMI, has been appointed as a board member of the Marine Corps Association and Foundation.
LMI said Thursday the retired U.S. Marine Corps major general will provide advisory support to the foundation that represents the interest of marines and their family members.
Prior to LMI, he worked at DynCorp International as manager of the company’s logistics civilian augmentation program in Afghanistan.
He previously held a 33-year career at the Marine Corps, where served as assistant deputy commandant for installations and logistics and oversaw the service branch’s military construction efforts, energy and environmental compliance and logistics operations.
Kessler also worked as the first commanding general of the Marine Corps Installations Command, where he managed 31,000 employees and a $4 billion annual budget for 24 installations worldwide.
He has been a member of the MCA&F over the past 36 years.
