LMI hosted an event in behalf of Virginia Values Veterans to train employers who want to hire veterans.
The government consultancy firm said Tuesday the training day builds on V3’s goal to help employers attract, hire, train and retain veterans through training events, webinars and career fairs.
Sandra Hawthorne, LMI public outreach manager, said LMI is a V3-certified company which entails involvement in training, community engagement and active recruitment to help employ and retain veterans in the workforce.
V3 is an initiative of Virginia’s Department of Veterans Services.
The program aims to support thousands of active duty service members as they transition into the civilian workforce and help National Guard and Reserves find full-time employment.
