David Shedd, formerly acting director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, has joined the board of directors of Huntsville, Alabama-based geospatial software provider Intergraph Government Solutions.
Michael Maples, IGS board chairman and a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general, said Tuesday the company will leverage Shedd’s insights and experience in the intelligence community to support growth strategies.
Other IGS board members include Ralph Basham and Joseph Fehrenbach.
Shedd, a 33-year IC veteran, previously served as deputy director for policy and plans and requirements at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and deputy chief of DIA.
He also held senior leadership roles at the National Security Council and the Central Intelligence Agency.
Shedd also served in the U.S. embassies in Mexico and Costa Rica.
