Genband‘s Application Server and Polycom‘s VVX voice and video portfolio have both achieved a Joint Interoperability Test Command certification from the Defense Information Systems Agency to offer unified communications for U.S. military networks.
The application server works to help agencies and departments create secure private clouds and deliver video and voice communications through Polycom-built media phones under the joint system, Genband said Monday.
VVX phones are designed to feature HD video and Acoustic Fence noise-cancelling technology, Genband noted.
“We are seeing strong demand for market-proven JITC certified solutions that can deliver improved productivity through powerful unified communications capabilities from the cloud or on-premises,” said Sean Berg, vice president for Polycom’s public sector segment.
Genband said it has previously partnered with Polycom to help migrate legacy communications infrastructures of civilian agencies, local municipalities, medical facilities, financial institutions and universities.
