The Department of Homeland Security‘s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has approved a new mentor-protege arrangement between Iron Mountain and Summit Technical Solutions.
STS said Wednesday it is the first small business to engage in Iron Mountain’s mentor-protege program under DHS in efforts to enhance STS’ technical and management practices.
Kelly Terrien, STS president and CEO, said the small business looks forward to learning from Iron Mountain’s experience as a government contractor that provides records management services.
STS is a certified woman business enterprise and veteran- and woman-owned small business that offers data management, systems and software engineering as well as test and training services.
The DHS Mentor-Protege program was established to encourage large businesses to provide developmental support to small businesses and subsequently drive performance under the department’s contracts and subcontracts.
