Cobham‘s semiconductor business will deliver customized Application Specific Integrated Circuits for airport security screening under a number of orders worth roughly $1.6 million.
ASICs are designed to facilitate a high level of detection to support security screening at airports and other facilities through client-specific, mixed-signal ASICs, Cobham said Wednesday.
Jeff Hassannia, Cobham advanced electronic solutions business development and technology senior vice president, said the company’s design engineering, design libraries and intellectual property seek to address technical risk in the development and production of custom ASICs.
Cobham’s semiconductor business will work to meet the orders.
