b-w world-peopleThe Center for a New American Security has appointed Boeing Executive Vice President Leanne Caret, DC Capital Partners Founder Thomas Campbell and MUUS & Company Chairman Michael Sonnenfeldt to its board of directors.

CNAS said Tuesday the new members will provide oversight for the organization and support its strategic direction.

“We are excited to have Leanne, Thomas and Michael join the board,” said Kurt Campbell, CNAS board of directors chair and co-founder.

“They have a wealth of experience in the defense and investment sectors, where CNAS does so much of its research.”

Caret — who also serves as president and CEO of Boeing’s defense, space and security business — oversees the unit’s efforts in the defense, government, space, intelligence and security markets.

Campbell has a 25-year experience in investment and serves as managing partner of DC Capital Partners and chairman at Michael Baker International, Sallyport, SC3 and The SPECTRUM Group.

Sonnenfeldt founded Tiger 21, where he is also chairman, and works as a senior lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.
