Bae-systems-logo_ExecutiveBiz1BAE Systems has received two contracts worth up to $68.6 million to help the U.S. Navy repair and maintain the USS Farragut destroyer and the USS Fort McHenry dock landing ship

The company said Thursday it will drydock USS Farragut this summer and perform tank, propulsion system, ventilation and auxiliary systems repairs as well as crew habitability systems and spaces maintenance under a potential $33.7 million contract.

Work under that contract is scheduled to finish in January 2017.

The second contract carries a value of $34.9 million and calls for BAE to support maintenance and modernization of  USS Fort McHenry systems such as hull, machinery, electrical, electronics and piping alterations and repairs.

BAE is scheduled to complete work on the dock landing vessel by May 2017.

Both the Farragut and McHenry ships are stationed at a naval base in Jacksonville, Florida.
