Jeff Lovin, a nearly 30-year veteran of Woolpert and currently senior vice president and director of the company’s government solutions business, has joined the board of directors of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International.
He will serve a three-year term in the association that works to promote and supports the interests of the unmanned systems and robotics community since 2009, Woolpert said Monday.
The seven-year AUVSI member has previously served as president of the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors and chairman of Coalition of Geospatial Organizations as well as worked in the Interior Department‘s National Geospatial Advisory Committee.
He is also a member of the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, the Society of Military Engineers and the Alliance for System Safety of UAS through Research Excellence.
Woolpert said he will join other AUVSI board appointees Peter Cleveland of Intel, Waseem Naqvi of Raytheon and James Thomsen of Seaborne Defense.
