Silver Spring, Maryland-based software engineering company Ad Hoc LLC will collaborate with three other technology companies to help the Department of Veterans Affairs design, build and maintain an online portal of various agency services under a $12.9 million contract.
The contract also covers website application development, content creation, identity authentication and testing services, the department said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday.
VA aims to consolidate its customer services into a single web portal as part of department-wide MyVA transformation effort.
Ad Hoc said Wednesday the Vets.gov site development team comprises Ad Hoc, Accenture‘s federal services subsidiary, So Company and ID.me.
Ad Hoc, founded by technology industry veterans Paul Smith and Greg Gershman, works with federal and state government clients to help them deliver transactional and informational services with digital technology.
Smith and Gershman were part of a team of industry professionals that worked with the U.S. government to fix technical problems on Healthcare.gov.
