The National Association of Corporate Directors has gathered retired and current military officers during its annual From Battlefield to Boardroom program intended to help soldiers transition to the private sector.
With support from KPMG and CACI International, the program provides insights on the roles and responsibilities of a corporate director and discusses oversight and stakeholder management issues, NACD said Monday.
Participants experienced mentorship and networking with former flag and general officers who now serve as corporate directors.
The new batch of program graduates includes:
- Retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Janet Wolfenbarger, a director at AECOM
- Retired U.S. Navy Vice Adm. David Buss, a senior vice president at Cubic Global Defense
- Retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Earl Matthews, vice president of enterprise security solutions at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise
