XeroxA county in Michigan has deployed a Xerox-built tool in an effort to notify property owners about fraudulent deeds and liens.

The deeds registry office in Oakland County, Michigan, integrated the Xerox’s Property Records Notification system with its Super Index search engine for filed public documents, Xerox said Wednesday.

Louis Schiavone Jr., managing director for local government solutions business at Xerox, said the PRN tool works to help property owners prevent forged deeds and other fraudulent schemes from escalating further through notifications about real property documents filed with the registry of deeds.

Xerox and Google support the county’s Super Index search engine tool that works to facilitate the search for documents by keying information such as names, property identification numbers and addresses.
