Harris has been chosen by Australia’s government to provide an integrated tactical communications network in support of modernization efforts for the country’s army.
The company said Friday the Land 2072 program is on its third phase and will work to build up the Australian army’s operational tempo, command and control once it is complete.
Harris added its voice and data services network will be designed to support line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight applications for tactical forces as well as compatibility with tactical radios and other technology from Harris and partner companies.
