A Fluor-led joint venture has completed and unveiled a 23-mile commuter rail line of the Denver Eagle P3 Commuter Rail Project.
Denver Transit Partners opened Friday the University of Colorado A Line that connects the downtown Denver Union Station to Denver International Airport, Fluor said Monday.
The new electric commuter rail line consists of eight stations and rail cars designed to transport up to 200 passengers.
The regional transportation district in Denver awarded the contract for the Eagle P3 public-private partnership project to DTP.
The DTP joint venture is composed of Fluor, John Laing’s Denver Rail (Eagle) Holdings unit, Aberdeen Infrastructure Investments (No. 4) USA, Balfour Beatty Rail, Ames Construction, Hyundai Rotem, ACI and HDR.
In addition to the University of Colorado A line, DTP will run and operate the Gold Line, B Line and the Commuter Rail Maintenance Facility over the next 28 years under the Eagle P3 project.
