Gaithersburg, Md.-based UltiSat has secured a $9,369,756 task order contract with options from the Defense Information Systems Agency to provide Ku bandwidth capacity for a U.S. military organization based at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
The company will support Global Hawk unmanned air vehicle flight tests along with its Ku-band earth terminals associated with a mission control element based at any of a number of locations in California, UltiSat said Monday.
Amy Gwinn, senior vice president of government solutions at UltiSat, said the company company aims to provide continued support to the Global Hawk program and forces in military operations in an effort to meet mission requirements and protect personnel.
DISA awarded the contract via the Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition Schedule 70 contract vehicle.
