Dell‘s security unit has updated its operating system that works to provide SSLÂ virtual private network access to applications, data and resources for remote workers who use mobile devices.
The new SonicWall Secure Mobile Access version looks to help industry and government clients secure their networks across all data type, device and remote worker location, Dell said Wednesday.
Dell SonicWall SMA 11.4 works to “minimize the window of exposure for remote and mobile workers before an attacker can potentially cripple the organization by gaining access to corporate data either in-flight or on the mobile device itself,” said Patrick Sweeney, vice president of product management and marketing at Dell Security.
The SonicWall update includes additional functionalities such as the global traffic optimizer, a management application programming interface, SAML 2.0 support, personal device authorization and a centralized management system.
The technology also has regulatory compliance features that align with Federal Information Processing Standards and other government organization policies, Dell said.
