Xerox has been selected to update the customer support system of the New Jersey E-ZPass Group in an effort to help process electronic toll transactions in the state.
Xerox will provide a customer service center, violations processing and financial back-office services for the New Jersey E-ZPass System under the eight-year contract, Xerox said Wednesday.
“When drivers go through the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s toll services and E-ZPass gateways we want to deliver a smooth experience every step of the way, from paying tolls to contacting customer service,†said Don Hubicki, group president of Xerox state government services.
Drivers will be able to use phone, e-mail, fax, a mobile application and online chat services to contact support personnel once the system goes online.
The New Jersey E-ZPass System handles 2.5 million accounts and 5 million transponders.
