cybersecurityWorld Wide Technology has partnered with computer security company Tanium to help deliver latter’s cybersecurity platform across the U.S. Air Force‘s network under a previously awarded automated remediation and asset discovery contract.

St. Louis-based WWT said Wednesday the Tanium platform works to help reduce work to add and maintain servers that are built to protect millions of endpoints or devices from cyber threats.

WWT was selected for the ARAD contract in December 2015 through the Air Force’s NETCENTS-2 information technology and netcentric products and services acquisition vehicle, on which the company holds one of 25 positions on.

The contract requires cybersecurity support for AFNet’s 200 locations and endpoint devices including approximately 900,000 on the non-secure internet protocol network and 500,000 on the secure internet protocol network, WWT added.

Tanium reported it took less than 15 seconds to provide results for simple query and less than 60 seconds for complex queries during a test on 150,000 AFNet endpoints.
