Evelyn Suarez, an international trade lawyer and consultant, has joined The Specctrum Group.
Anthony Principi, chairman of TSG, said in a statement issued Thursday Suarez will work to support the Alexandria, Va.-based consulting firm’s international affairs business group through her knowledge and experience in the field of international trade regulation.
Suarez’s specialties include trade facilitation, customs, anti-corruption and trade compliance.
She is president-elect of the Association of Women in International Trade and founder and principal of the Suarez Firm, a Washington-based company that counsels clients on intellectual property protection as well as export and import regulatory compliance.
Suarez was a former partner at various law firms, including Williams Mullen, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP and Ross & Hardies.
She sits on the advisory council of the Old Dominion University’s Maritime, Port and Logistics Management Institute and on the board of directors of the Virginia Maritime Association.
