The State Department is set to hold its first overseas small business government contracting conference on May 31 at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia.
The Office of Small and Disadvantage Business Utilization will convene large contractors, agency representatives, suppliers and small businesses during the event to facilitate socio-economic discussions, the department said in a notice released Monday.
The OSDBU is chartered to advance the interests of U.S. small businesses in the State Department’s acquisition activities.
The office also works to provide training and counseling to the small business community on how to pursue business opportunities with the department.
